TANAKA SEIMITSU KOGYO CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company with multi-national holdings and subsidiaries principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of motor vehicle parts. With specialized manufacturing operations in Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the U.S., the Tanaka Group holds diverse expertise and production assets and affords each division access to shared knowledge and resources from engineering to production.
The Japan segment is involved in the provision of variable valve timing and lift electronic control system (VTEC) rocker arm assemblies, synchronizer rings and springs, piston pins, crank pins, ball races, outboard retainers, valve spring retainers, valve spring seats, valve seats, stators, cam followers, valve lifters and piston pumps, among others, as well as the sale of automobiles under Civic, Odyssey and Fit names.
The America segment provides variable valve timing and lift electronic control system (VTEC) rocker arm assemblies, chain tensioners, and other engine component parts.
The Thailand segment provides piston pins, crank pins, ball races, valve spring retainers and shafts, among others.
The Vietnam segment is engaged in the manufacture of piston pins, crankpins and others. In April 2014, it established a 99.9%-owned subsidiary Asian Tanaka Bangkok Co., Ltd. in Thailand.
